Hey there 👋🏽👋🏽 So I know the past couple months there haven't been any blog posts. There's a reason for that. Life got a bit hectic to say the very least. From navigating UK Lockdown 3.0 to having to cancel 2 trips, falling into a bit of a depression, getting back into therapy, releasing some relationships, starting back at the gym, virtual wedding planning, still showing up for my 1:1 clients...you get the picture. Life got to be A LOT. However, I'm not complaining! I'm in such a good space right now ☺. You want to know how? I've been practicing what I preach.
I had to take a real hard look at all the places and people I was pouring my energy into and scale it back. I had to get super honest with myself and let go of the people and practices that were totally draining me and offering nothing in return. I had to get intentional with my time. I had to get intentional with my rest. I had to get intentional with doing the things that I knew would keep me mentally healthy and physically healthy as well. I had to prioritise my happiness. I was not willing to fall into the deep dark pit of burnout again. I've been there. It ain't fun. At all. Like I said though, GOOD NEWS!
I'm in a great space with my mental health. I'm sleeping well. I'm eating lots of nutritious foods. I'm in a good routine with the gym. Side note: If you've put on weight during lockdown (like myself and many other normal human beings), don't let anyone shame you into thinking something is wrong with you or that you must somehow lose all the weight again before you step back out into civilisation. Beautiful human, you have survived a freakin' tough year. Give yourself some grace and love. Thank your body for getting you through to this day. Treat it with kindness. You deserve that. Okay so back to what I was saying... 😁 I've been going to the gym now that they're back open, and it feels SO GOOD to feel like I'm getting stronger again. As a Holistic Wellness Coach, I know the importance of having different ways to measure success. I feel myself getting fitter and stronger, I feel well mentally and emotionally, I've got my self care routine back to a place where it feels more natural. My energy is 👌🏽. Life is good! Because of all that, I'm back in a place where I can be the best version of me for my friends, family and business. I'm back in the place where I'm able to fully pour into others...and it feels freakin' amazing!
